Second Round of Rural Grant Funding

Island Hospital and Medical Information Network - North Sound (MIN-NS) have been awarded $285,000 in a second round of funding to continue connecting health providers and patients in rural areas to providers of services outside their community.

Skagit Health Information Exchange Wins Federal Grant

The grant supports MIN-NS’ efforts to enrich the existing Health Information Exchange with integrated telehealth; and certified, secure e-mail. MIN-NS will also have funds to integrate the electronic medical records of independent rural providers in Skagit, Island, San Juan and Whatcom counties. The grant focus is on providers of care for patients in rural areas.

MIN-NS Wins Grant for HIE Enrichment and Expansion

Over the next three years Medical Information Network – North Sound (MIN-NS) will use an almost million dollar, federal grant to connect rural medical providers in the North Sound. The grant has $300,000 available from May 2014 through April 2015 and can be extended at $285,000 for each of the next two years.
