Recently Skagit Northwest Orthopedics a Division of Proliance Surgeons joined the MIN-NS Health Information Exchange. As portal access participants they were quick to become one of the most frequent user groups to retrieve clinical data.
In an ongoing process amongst the medical community where care teams are focused on coordinating patients information the exchange has provided to be highly benefical. Of course related to factors including the roles of people with access, the setting, and other site-specific issues that impacted the overall breadth of routine system use. Findings from ongoing usage audits should form an important foundation as other sites embark upon HIE implementation.
